The customer needed a refurbished Toyota gas counterbalance forklift for yard handling on sloped terrain — safety and stability were the headline priorities. A new machine wasn’t the right fit; a properly refurbished Toyota gave the same capability at a smarter price point.
Toyota’s SAS (System of Active Stability) was central to the spec. It brings automatic speed reduction when cornering, mast front-tilt angle control to stop the load tipping forward, and rear-tilt speed control — three features that make a genuine difference when the yard has a slope to it.
A cabin with canvas sides was added to give the operator weather protection during year-round outdoor use. The result is a confident, safer working setup that meets the day-to-day demands of a busy roofing merchant.
