What We Provided Daler Rowney

The Reason Behind the Solution

Daler-Rowney has recently improved their operations by adding an access platform to one of their paint lines, aiming to boost productivity, efficiency, and safety. Before this upgrade, the lack of a platform made operations slower and more challenging. Now, with the new platform in place, workers can easily load paint drums onto the line using a pallet gate, which ensures a smooth and seamless transfer to the paint line below. This enhancement has streamlined the workflow, reduced the physical strain on workers, and eliminated operational bottlenecks, resulting in a noticeable increase in productivity.

The addition of the pallet gate has been particularly important for improving safety. Acting as a secure barrier, it helps to prevent accidental falls during the loading and unloading process. The platform itself features non-slip surfaces, providing workers with a stable and reliable area to operate. By making the workflow safer and more efficient, this upgrade has not only raised safety standards but also contributed to a better working environment, ensuring the paint line operates smoothly and securely.

"I was very satisfied with the entire service provided by Locators on this project across all aspects—design, lead time, execution, and price. I wish all projects could go as smoothly as this one. We would certainly use Locators again for any future mezzanine/platform or storage system needs."

Products we used

Manitou MT 625 H Comfort

Expanding your business footprint is crucial as you grow, but it often comes with high costs and complex logistics. However, mezzanine floors are a clever solution. They allow you to double or even triple your usable workspace without the need to relocate. These structures take advantage of unused vertical space. So you can turn it into productive areas that significantly increase your operational capacity.

Adding a mezzanine floor is a direct, impactful way to boost productivity and streamline operations. These custom-designed floors fit seamlessly into your existing space. They serve many functions, from storage and packing to new offices. Better still, they do this without the downtime of significant renovations. This efficient use of space optimises your operations and postpones the need for expensive expansions or moves.
