You can see – very obviously – the main difference is, it’s got big, chunky tyres on; that’ll cope with rough ground and with mud. So, it’s quite unusual that we move to this type of machine in an industrial setting, because normally we’d be using a normal counterbalance truck. A typical site would be garden centres, sites like that where we’re working maybe on-uh unmade ground – not deep, deep mud. That would require another step up, in terms of specification. This is the latest Semi-Industrial Truck, the MC25 from Manitou, and this is going to one of our golden centre customers very soon.

So, the next step up from an Semi-Industrial Truck, which is another Manitou, and this is the Telehandler range, and this is construction equipment. So, these machines are four-wheeled drive hydrostatic, and they’re designed to work in really rough conditions on construction sites in – and will cope with deep mud.

This is more of a machine, this a 625, so this is the second smallest machine. These machines go up to eighteen metre lift capability, and then you’re into having to have support legs and things like that when you’re lifting up to big heights, so they can really get a lot of capacity up at height. But yeah, you’ll see again that the tyres are another step up – in terms of size and tread – they’re much more like a tractor tyre or something like that. But again, you would generally only get into using this type of truck if you were working on a construction environment.
